I really do. I hate it with a fiery passion that burns all, as hot as a thousand MOONS says I! I know that makes little sense but hey, I go with what works, which is to say nothing at all. Regardless, I am here to talk about backups. Similar to my last post dealing with storage issues, I have to ask: How do you back up your stuff?
Old school Floppy? Perhaps CD Rom / DVD. I myself dont, which is bad I suppose. I really should. I started getting bored and looking around and found this site, called Anytime@Anywhere offsite backup. Basically, its an online backup system for either personal OR business use.
Got some pictures and music you want stored, and you need to format? Pay these guys and back it up so you dont have to go hunting out for DVD's and such. Then, once you are back up and working, simply redownload it. Nice. I hate having to buy a pack of CD's for just 1. One of the many reasons I dont burn music CD's :P If you are a business or have a personal business, you could use this to store your important documents so that way if you ever get a virus, well, you aint gotta worry ;) I would use it, if I ever needed to. I mean, the plans start at 5gigs worth of backup space for $10 a month. Thats not too expensive. 10 gigs is $20 bucks of course. Thats alot of space! So, if you have important documents that you need saved, and dont want to run the risk of losing a DVD, or getting a horrible virus, I suggest giving these guys a try.
And thats the Shiny Truth!
