So I have finally gotten around to updating my youtube/blip.tv show, called The Retro Gamer. Unfortunately its not Chrono Trigger, but rather something else using a different format. I am doing a Play-Through of the game Companions of Xanth which is an adventure game made in 1993.

I am aware of the audio issue (I am also using a different method of audio/video recording) and I cannot fix it without redoing the audio ENTIRELY. So thats gonna be stuck for now, but part 2 will be a fixed as I am gonna test out some stuff to figure out just WHAT is happening.

I have a few other games such as Earthbound for the SNES and Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos lined up if this style works out better.

The video can be found at http://theretrogamer.blip.tv/ along with the other videos I have made.

What is Strolen?

Well its really Strolen's Citadel. A Magical place for people like me, who are Tabletop gamer nerds. I mean specifically things like DND, WhiteWolf, and such. Its not really for players, but more for DM's and creators. People who make things like NPCs, worlds, items, and plots.

I really like it. I found it thanks to a contest I entered (have no idea who won yet) I have submitted a couple of things myself.

Check it out if you have time - http://www.strolen.com/index.php

So, its been almost a whole week since posting here. Opps! I need to keep more up to date I am sure.

Regardless, I have been spending my time playing Diablo 2 recently. Its alot of fun, just simple hack and slash gaming. I got a druid, level 27, who is specializing in WereWolfy powers. I intend to get some summoning powers to supplement things, so there are more targets on screen then just me for my enemies to beat on.

Tonight its Alt Time! :D My Shadow Priest shall go PEW PEW with his LAZERBEAMZ! ZOT PEW PEW ZAP BOW BANG! Oh yea, thats right. I am all uber with my level 24 self :P

So, Saturday I was so bored I started looking into Boardgames. I love me a good boardgame. I guess you can say I am a gamer in every sense of the word. Video games, Table Top, Mini's, and Boardgames. I found one that really interested me called Runebound.

After reading up on it, I realized that it could be a lot of fun. A $50 game however is not something I want to buy if no one is gonna play. So I talked to my roomate Jess, and my friend Dan, and both said if I got it they would play.

So, Saturday night after work I went and bought it.

I am glad I did.

Sunday, Me, Jess, and Dan all sat down, and started to play the game. It was LONG. Like 6 hours for us to finish. But I didnt really notice the time. I was having too much fun making my character uber. I ended up being the winner as well, having completed the requirements to win.

Also, Runebound has expansions. I am so getting them. Jess had a blast and so did Dan, so I think I see more Runebound in our future!
